This wonderful Austrian bakery has been purveying rich coffee cakes, creamy mousse cakes and a cornucopia of butter cookies since 1911. The tiny space with a few tables and chairs is usually crammed with people trying to decide between the princess slice and the chocolate mousse tart, but the counter staff, who has been there for years, has a knack for keeping things moving without seeming to rush anyone. The fresh bread is also terrific, if you can tear yourself away from the Lemon Chiffon Cake.
