Deep Sushi

ID:1208

Two cousins in mechanic-like jumpsuits man the small kitchen at this Noe Valley sleeper. It is just a matter of time before this undiscovered spot hits the hipster radar and the happy locals will have to share the inspired sushi menu with the rest of San Francisco. Until then, the opalescent mosaic above the curved sushi bar will sparkle for those in-the-know enjoying romi romi, a house specialty of spicy salmon, a beautifully-plated sunflower roll and a long list of intriguing appetizers not found on most Japanese menus. Service is disjointed and slow, so sit back and enjoy the eclectic jazz and Asian electronica coming from the fantastic sound system.
