Newly-renovated Café de la Presse meshes a polished flair for modern fashion with a distinctly old-world feel. Hannum Associates have recreated an authentic 1930’s French bistro, with consultant Francois de Tessan contributing his expertise in French antiques and decoration.
Highlights of the venue’s new look include a horseshoe-shaped alder wood bar, vintage oversized posters, antiquated French light fixtures, and faux painted walls. Flat screen monitors in both the cafe and in the dining room play current and archival fashion shows around the clock, and the newsstand’s reading material is abundant, boasting over 500 international
titles. A vividly painted red, blue, and yellow exterior and outdoor tables
beautifully mimic a classic Parisian tabac, adding a striking element to the
bustling corner of downtown’s Bush Street and Grant Avenue.
