The Rotunda at Neiman Marcus

ID:1229

Let's meet at the Rotunda.
Simple words. But quite a statement.

To meet at the Rotunda is to share great food. And to share a place with a rather fascinating past.

Curious customers will be especially interested to know that the dome crowning the Rotunda was originally "The Glass Ship," a spectacular architectural feature of the legendary San Francisco store, the City of Paris, built in 1909.

Before we began construction on our Union Square store, the dome was dismantled and sent 3,000 miles to Massachusetts, where the world's finest glass artisans cleaned and restored each of the 26,000 pieces.

Now, just a stone's throw (not encouraged) from its original site, the celebrated glass dome has become not only a part of Neiman Marcus history, but also a landmark for a whole new generation of San Franciscans.
