"Isn't it the American Dream to own your own business?" asks a partner and founder of Sweet Lowdown, Rodney Wedge.   Having started from humble beginnings as a dishwasher at the age of 16, Rodney has worked his way up in the restaurant world to find himself the present owner and founder of Atlanta’s successful Fuego Spanish Grill.  It has been Rodney’s influence that has lead Fuego to several achievements, including Top 50 Restaurants by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Top 10 Lunch Spots by Atlanta Magazine and a Zagat rating of Excellence.  

The boy from Texas recalls that it wasn’t a hard decision to develop restaurants in the South.  Now he sets his sights on highlighting true southern food. “Sweet Lowdown is unique in several areas: first and foremost the food. It will be southern comfort food blended with a little sophistication.”  This theme is carried throughout the restaurant, with the upstairs (Sweet) being the sophisticated wine dinner and premier event location and the downstairs (Lowdown) catering to the power lunch, happy hour and dinner theatre crowds.
